Whether you are new to Naples or have lived here for years, there are always a variety of fun activities to take part during the fall in Naples. From scary Halloween haunted houses to food festivals, Naples knows how to entertain and October is packed with great events.

Pumpkin Patches in Naples

Pumpkin Patches in NaplesDid you get your pumpkins yet? If not, check out the St. Monica’s Episcopal Church pumpkin patch. Open from 10am to 7pm, through the 28th, you’ll find the pumpkin patch at 7070 Immokalee Road in Naples.

You’ll also find a pumpkin patch at North Naples United Methodist Church, open daily from 9am to 7pm, through Halloween day. The church is located at 6000 Goodlette Rd.

Naples Haunted Houses

Naples Haunted HousesThe new Naples Fright Factory is now open and scaring the daylights out of Naples residents. Located at 2320 Vanderbilt Rd., you’ll find two haunted houses with 20,000 square feet of chills and spooky stuff. The Fright Factory features zombies, a Fear Zone that caters to everyone’s creepiest nightmares, and, of course evil clowns. The Fright Factory is open Friday and Saturday nights from 7 pm until midnight. On Sundays, they close the doors at 10 pm. Admission is $13 for one haunted house, $23 for both.

Fright Factory may be a bit too frightening to the little ones, so they’re holding a special day for them. In fact, the “Not-so-Scary Trick-or-Treat” event may be the ideal place to take small children trick-or-treating. Open from 2pm to 5pm on Halloween day (October 31), they can enjoy games, a costume contest and lots of goodies to eat. While admission is $10 for children, it’s free for their parents.

Scary Music

The Philharmonic Center for the Arts is the place to be to catch some eerie music from motion pictures (Jaws, Psycho and more) and from the theatre (Phantom of the Opera anyone?) played by orchestra members decked out in ghoulish costumes. Billed as the “Halloween Spook-Tacular,” it takes place on Saturday, October 30th. Tickets are $47 for adults and $26 for students. The Philharmonic Center for the arts is located at 5833 Pelican Bay Boulevard in Naples.

Naples’ Stone Crab Festival

Naples’ Stone Crab FestivalThe Annual Stone Crab Festival gets underway this weekend, from Friday through Sunday.  Admission is free and there are free water taxi rides to all the events. Enjoy live entertainment, kids’ activities, a charity dunk tank and lots more at various locations. You can find a full schedule of events on the festival’s website.
