52 Things to do in Naples - Thursdays on Third

Thursdays on Third Naples FloridaCities large and small across the country have a weekly street fair that brings out residents in droves. Naples is no different in that respect. The difference between ours and theirs, however, is that ours is better.  Yes, I’m biased, but I’ve been to others and I believe that Thursdays on Third in Naples is by far the best.

If you aren’t a Thursdays on Third regular, I dare you to attend just one and I am willing to bet it’ll become a weekly stop for you. It’s a great way to unwind and let loose after a long work day, heading into the weekend.

Whether you come for an after-work cocktail, an early dinner or just to people-watch, you’ll find it all at Thursdays on third.

The first thing you’ll no doubt notice is the sound of music. Typically six bands are spread out along a four-block stretch of Third Street, playing anything from classic pop to jazz, rock and even steel band music. Lots of folks aren’t content with just listening so you’ll be in good company if you’re moved to get up and dance.

Then, there’s the food. If you want dinner under the stars, try Handsome Harry’s. Pizza lovers will find amazing offerings at Barbatella’s.  In the mood for pub grub? Check out Old Naples Pub.

Whether you stroll the courtyards going from bar to bar and band to band, or decide to take a horse-drawn carriage ride, you’ll find friendly people and loads of fun at Thursdays on Third.

Thursdays on Third is held every Thursday from November until the end of May. From June through late October it’s open every third Thursday. It starts at 6 p.m. and it’s packed by 6:30 until it closes at 9 p.m.

Bring the pooch, if you like, it’s a pet friendly festival and even some of the restaurants cater to the four-legged family members.
